S2 Countries Investigations

Good site here to use for a few last minute bits and pieces of information on your countries. Each country has a map and info to put into graphs for you to pick up extra marks eg population and area. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they have put temperature in a bar graph and this is wrong!!! It should, of course be a line graph - you could change this if you want to use this rather than the worlclimate.com site.

Shanty town in Kenya

Flying toilets in shanty towns

A little light relief after watching how difficult life is in Kibera. Have a laugh but then think about what it really means.

Largest slum in Africa video Watch the Youtube video link here.

Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya is the largest slum in Africa with a population of perhaps one million. The name "Kibera" is derived from kibra, a Nubian word meaning "forest" or "jungle."

Country profiles here from the BBC. These are a good starting point for your investigations but remember a lot more is needed! Look at your “idiots guide” and just follow the steps. EASY.
Just change the country to your own rich or poor example
