Ageing population

Given the choice most people say they would like to retire early - 58 was named the optimum age in a recent BBC poll - but moves are afoot to extend our working lives.
The CBI has mooted that the state pension age be raised to 70 by 2030. Do you want to work to this age? Do you want to go into hospital and be cared for by a 70 year old doctor or nurse? What about a 70 year old teacher - don't even think about saying it - I know you all think I'm this age already! Look at this article on this topic , the influence it has on Britain and how it will affect you in the furure. There are some good links to potential exam questions here in the GCSE section of BBC education and also here. Might also be a good idea to watch this video and see why you think it was made in the first place.
