Scottish Earthquake!
OK its not on the scale of the "big ones" we look at in class but its worth a look. I wonder if our seismometer picked this up as clearly as it has for the Pakistan 'quake last week. See the BBC site for info here. This was a 3.5 magnitude earthquake and there is a nice explanation here about British fault lines and why we suffer these tremors from time to time.

Australian floods
I only have few minutes to post this one just now. All I can say is wow! Glad I'm not in this area. I feel really sorry for all who are suffering as a result of this.
